The Dendra panoply

The study of Mycenaean armour examines mobility and operational function through reconstruction and practical testing. This dossier includes a paper on the operational function of the Dendra panoply, co-authored by Spyros Bakas and Dimitrios Katsikis.

The Mycenaean bident

The photographic material from 2021 brings together the reference object, a drawing and modern experimental reconstructions using a replica of the weapon. The images document different stages and aspects of the research.

Composite bows in the Aegean

The study “Composite Bows in Aegean Bronze Age Warfare” places archery within the investigation of warfare in the Bronze Age Aegean. This material connects the Mycenaean arms and armour dossier with the broader study of ancient bows.
